Brief Profile Dr. Mahendra Kumar Choudhary did M.Sc. Ag. in 1989 from RCA, Udaipur and worked on the topic “Effect of irrigation and moisture conserving substance on chickpea yield” and Ph.D. in 1992 from RBS College Bichpuri, Agra on “Intercropping of oilseed and pulses with wheat under limited fertilizer and irrigation as a resource constraints”. He was awarded Junior Research Fellowship from ICAR, New Delhi in 1985. He served about 4 years at KVK, SURE, Barmer and for last 12 years has been serving at CAZRI KVK, Pali as a Training Associate (Agronomy) and Subjec Matter Specialist (Agronomy). He was awarded Best Worker from KVK, Barmer by SURE, Barmer in 1997 for popularization of Moth RMO-40 at Barmer district. He has also been awarded for Best Article Award y Samay Kon Agriculture Magazine, Jaipur in 1999 for writing popular article for Samay Kon. He conducted vocational training for income generation on fertilizer management through compost and CAZRI technology on multinutrient feed block/mixture in 2002-03. After the programme one of the trainees Shri Deda Ram Patel registered a firm “Kamdhenu Pusu Aahar and Jaivik Khad” at village Kharda ki Dhani and sold product of MNF Block, mixture, vermi-compost, worms and bio-pesticides made with cow urine and is earning Rs. 4000-5000 per month. He conducted a total of 1060 FLD’s on improved agro-techniques of different kharif and rabi drops at 33 villages of Barmer and Pali districts. He has organised on campus training programmes 101 for crops, 2 for Malamer cattel feed managment, 11 trainings for extension functions, off campus trainings 265 for crops, 25 for plant protection and 9 for live stock prodiction. He also organised 8 Kisan mela, 40 field days, 5 Farmer Scientist Interaction, 44 dagnostic visits, 104 Kisan Gosthi, 15 Kisan Clubs, 4 SHG, 7 exposure visits, 7 radio talks. He has also authored 3 research papers, 5 conference proceeding papers, 22 extension literature, and 52 popular articles. He also organised Seed multiplication programme of Moth RMO-40 at KVK, Barmer and sesame, gum, moong, dhaman etc. at KVK, pali and sold the same to the farmers of district. |
